Doorways and Debts is a side-story existing in the same world as the Legacy of Jiraiya series. It takes place across the Yareth Ocean in the country of Liveria. The story follows the journey of a young boy named Roger and his four best friends. Through unforeseen mishappenings they end up finding themselves very far from their home on earth in the state of New Hampshire.
They end up in the City of Tramore and unless they can pay their debts, they'll be stuck there; unable to return home to their families and lives. One by one the boys find themselves assigned jobs by the biggest Innkeeper in the city and they begin the unlikely journey of paying off their debts. Unlike the main series, this side story has its own set of characters and stays away from the much larger picture that the main series revolves around. This is intended for people of all ages, and is far more welcoming to the younger generations (Middle-school and High-school) than The Legacy of Jiraiya series. It's a fantastic way to introduce a new reader to the world. This is the first installment in many side stories that I plan to release; each one helping to world-build and expand the ever exciting tapestry that is The Legacy of Jiraiya!

At the start of 2016 I began editing my sequel to The Woods of Winterton. This sequel is called The Legacy of Jiraiya and the Rise of Nihar.
This book was written back in 2009 and was a much larger story than the first. It was 6 chapters and about a hundred pages longer than the first book. Up until now I have edited roughly 12 chapters so far, roughly a third of the book. It's coming along nicely and I'm hoping to finish this edit some time in September or October. The Rise of Nihar focuses in on our characters picking up where they left off. This includes Boone, Edmund, Devin and Enora as they ran away from the Troll army into the Woods of Winterton; as well as Lucian, Kegan and Admes who were standing atop the Wall of Ware preparing for battle with the hoards of Orcs streaming down on them and the army of King Hagan. I hope to be updating everyone in the coming months of the progress of this edit and eventually when the Kickstarter will be launching! Special thanks to our 55 backers with pledge $2,131 that helped bring our project to life on Kickstarter! for my first publication of "The Legacy of Jiraiya and the Woods of Winterton" published in January 2016. |
